Northern Indiana has long been home to entrepreneurs and innovators.

In recent decades, our region has struggled to attract and retain talented young professionals. This robs our businesses of the best talent and our communities of a vibrant future.

Indiana ranks 14th in producing graduates—46th in keeping them.

Since our founding, enFocus has retained 70% of Fellows in the South Bend – Elkhart region.

Founded in 2012, enFocus is a nonprofit with a novel approach to talent attraction and community development. We intentionally match graduates to high-impact projects with regional sponsors to provide meaningful professional experiences. To date, we have employed over 1,000 Fellows and Interns on over 250 projects. These collaborations not only deliver innovative solutions for local organizations, they inspire young professionals to stay in our region.
